Psychometry is a combination of normal psychic awareness plus the ability to read the energy patterns that we all leave on the objects around us. It also acts as an aid to a medium or psychic, helping him or her tune in better to their sitter. Most mediums or psychics who use this method tend to prefer metal objects, such as rings, bracelets or other jewellery. This could have a lot to do with the fact that these objects are in contact with the person on a more regular basis and therefore retain more information. The object can be almost anything and mediums or psychics are also using cloth, such as clothes, as again these items are in regular contact with the owner. But there are no rules; it is simply a matter of what works best for the individual, or whatever is available! Psychometry is also a method that a lot of mediums or psychics use when working with the police, especially when trying to locate a person. The psychic or medium will be given an object which belongs to that person or a photograph of them. The handling of an object here helps to create a psychic link to that person.
How does Psychometry work?
Whenever we handle an object we are laying down information about ourselves on that object. Because our bodies give off magnetic energy fields it can be likened to a recording on to an audio tape. It is also important to remember that an object may have been handled by more than one person, thus its history may reveal things that are not relevant to the sitter. If, for example an object has been passed on down the family, it will contain information about its previous owners. But back to our tape recorder, the medium or psychic can then be thought of as a tape player, playing back the information stored on the object. The information is picked up by the subconscious mind. The vibrations on objects are imprinted on the subconscious and then transferred to our conscious thinking. Your conscious mind and sub conscious mind are both involved in the process of picking up vibrations from the object you are working with. Strong emotions seem to be stored well on objects and mediums or psychics are often able to pick-up on these. The imprints left on objects could relate to any information, a location, a time, a feeling -all seem to be stored. A medium may choose to start with psychometry during a reading, to help link into their sitter. This will enable some details to be picked up about that person and help create some connection with the sitter. As the reading develops it may then become a full ‘medium’ reading, when spirit communicators come through to give a message.
My Psychometry Readings
If you wish to have a psychometry reading with me, I will ask you for an object such as a watch, a ring, wallet, a chain etc. It needs to be something you are in regular contact with so it can provides a stronger link. I do these readings with soft, gentle, quiet music when linking. I place the object in the palm of my hand, and place my other hand around it or on top. This will allow me to seek connections and pick up the vibrations from the object. By stepping back from the everyday world I will seek Divine guidance and tell you what images or thoughts enter my mind, and whatever I see or feel I will pass on to you. For example I may see or get the feeling of something as simple as a car and on mentioning this you may tell me that you purchased, sold or had some work done on a car. In the process of the reading I will seek spiritual guidance for you but I cannot guarantee that all I pick up is correct as any reading is vibration. I will always do my best for you and seek to give you the best of what I can within the reading.
